Some people have opportunities knocking on their doors more often than others. It is as if there is always a map telling them where to find "opportunity".

So blessed to have so many opportunities and for sure, hard work is still necessary.

Then,

there are also people that need to search high and low for opportunities and sometimes, still not able to find many of them.

But,

all of us need to learn to be thankful.

Remember,

To encourage Singaporeans to drive less and save the environment and to exercise more,

WE SHOULD HAVE A LANE FOR CYCLIST!!!!

Look at the pictures I have taken from Cycle Chic:

How I wish Singapore is like that. Then, I can try to cycle to school. On expressway, roads and what not. More places to park the bicycles as well. I know there is a movement to encourage people to cycle to work but from what I know, it is in 98 Amoy Street ONLY, known as The Bike Boutique. More information can be found on their website, http://www.thebikeboutique.com. In addition, there should be more PCN (Park Connector Network) connecting the parks in different neighbourhood. As a noob, I do not dare to anyhow cycle. All these will really help.

I don't want to just cycle at East Coast Park.

However, there's another problem. I'm afraid of people stealing my bicycle (or parts of it). More bike boutiques please.

Flipping through "Life" magazine, Little Z realised that there are so many pretty face around. They are mainly successful and popular. Having almost everything that they yearn for. And for the worst part, she has plenty of "live examples".

And suddenly, little Z is feeling so alone, so small and so insignificant.
Never the pretty one, never the most talented one, she is feeling rather dejected.
All of a sudden, it daunt on her that she needs to seriously break out of this "me" syndrome.
Well, the fact that she may not be the typical pretty talented person she wished she can be, she is indeed beautifully and wonderfully made, no matter what. Self-doubt is such a horrible thing and comparing is as bad.

She turned to Big D and said, "I am sorry, can You really love me, just the plain me?"

Big D replied, "I had, I am and I will always love you, no matter what. Can you love yourself, Little Z?"

"Can I do the things you said I can? I am not seeing and feeling much...", Little Z sobbed.

"Of course you can! Remember, it's not about how you feel or see. Just never stop doing.", Big D comforted.

Little Z learnt that the greatest challenge is loving herself and accepting herself for who she really is. She knows she is not the first choice, but she should and needs to be faithful in all that is given to her, no matter how small they are. Though, she wishes that others will give her more assurance, spurring her on, but that should not be the motivation for remaining faithful. Even when no one is looking, that is then called faithfulness.

Talent without hard work amount to not much. Talent and hard work together will produce great results. Not enough talent? Then make sure you put in more hard work. :)

The road is long and for the least bit, easy, but Little Z will hang on and will not live by what she feels and what she sees.

The only one that she will please is the Big D and no one else, she promised to herself and Big D.

It is amazing how D speaks to each individual. Not so long ago, I was asking God regarding some things. I have already been comforted, but that's not the end. Today, some of the lovely 3D girls gave me something that really touched my heart. The words of affirmation that I get. Awesomeness! They don't know how much that will help to keep my passion burning.

However, the main revelation is not about the WOF. It's really putting my assurance in God. My security comes from Him and Him alone. No matter what happen (or not happen), as long as you trust in the Awesome D, and keep on giving thanks, you will know for sure that all things will happen for good. You are doing what you are doing for a reason, shining in the way that pleases Him. Period. Don't let others or yourself tell you otherwise. Listen only to Him. :)

A Reason, a Season or a Lifetime

People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which it is, you know exactly what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON, it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are. They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong doing on your part or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered and it is now time to move on.

there was this girl that hated to think too much, but still think too much.

one important day, when she was down, she wanted to find a particular person to talk to, but she could not find. she really needed that pair of listening ears.

(thankfully, she managed to get another person whom she loves a lot as well. she knows that is not the person's fault as people can be busy..but she was a little upset... nevertheless, the message that came just right on time, she was grateful, and the miss call she received, she was touched...)

wanted to go out, but...

however, she was down. thinking of the things that she knew she should not be thinking. thinking that who can be there for her when she is down and needed someone. but true enough, it hit her that no one can be there all the time except Him.
she do not like to be like that, she has not been like that for a while. she is trying to break out of it, perhaps is like what another friend said, it is just those -tive days.

at least she knows that there will always be this place where she can seek refuge.. she knows she can find rest there. she always feels so much better after that.

the girl will be strong, the girl knows all things will be well. she will live happily ever after.

(coz I'm just too lazy to blog and use my brain, will have it in my perspective when I finally feel like it) :

it all started on sunday when faith and i accompanied kate to change her charles&keith bag @ expo john little sale after drama prac. faith and I got sucked into the world of sale items and wo me even realising it, kate has gone home. (COZ SHE CAN'T FIND YOU. haha. YOU WERE BUSY SHOPPING FOR ...)we both got tired and hungry. so at 830 pm we decided, "lets take a bus from expo to bugis to eat macdonalds". within the span of a shopping trip and a dinner, i got intro to a job by faith, interviewed and got myself a job selling jewelry for the designer of the jewelry provide for miss singapore world, miss singapore universe and mrs singapore world 2008.

started work on Wed. didn't manage to snap pics during work. we worked at orchard hotel, and apparently there are many fairs held throughout the year at hotels which are open to public (but how are publics like us supposed to know that these fairs exist at all) but are patronised only by the upper class of tai-tais and their children.
the fair i worked at was big, taking up two ball rooms at orchard hotel. there were many stalls and sold differents things from kitchen ware to evening wear to kid's scooters to cheongsam to maxi dresses all at affordable prices. (I GOT ONE MAXI DRESS) so now i know where the tai-tais get their stuff.

after work, had a few hours to spare so went shopping with faith before heading to drama prac.

then came drama prac @ aliwai street. snapped some shots at the very rich in heritage lanes of aliwal. (TOO LAZY TO SAVE THE PICS)

after drama prac. we took the lead of tim and climbed on top of the roof of a building at arab street!!! this has to be the most exciting few minutes of the week.
faith only manage to get this far! haha. (IS QUITE HIGH OK?)

tim and i made it up to the roof!!! contrary to wat tim said, i didn't see the entire view of arab street from on top. i only saw the roofs of other buildings. haha. but maybe bcos i didn't dare walk furthur down away from the roofs. anyhow, faith, next prac @ aliwai you better make it up there! (BUT YOU WUN BE THERE FOR REHEARSAL ON WED. *SOB)

both faith and i were very high after drama prac so we decided lets go mambo! (YA. WE WERE REALLY HIGH) we took a bus to somewhere near great world, but it was quite late by then and zouk was packed like siao.

(PICS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE HERE) (some toilet near zouk HAHA)

so we deicded, lets tour singapore on foot. so we went kaypoh rd (CORRECTION: RIVER VALLEY ROAD, OPPOSITE KAY POH ROAD) for supper.

then we kept walking. past all these places and more. (too many pics to put up here)

(PIC OF THE SIGN "BEO CRES" - IT IS A ROAD NAME)(beo cres really reminded us of the movie BEOWULF.)

we saw this really cool piece of art at the bottom of the cosmopolitan condo. (PICS AGAIN. HAHA)

so after a night of walking, at 4am, we decided, we should really end our night. (COZ SHEILA NEEDED TO)

faith, i calculated, on that crazy wed, we spent at total of 19 hours tgt! 5 hours away from spending 24 hours tgt! (WE SHOULD HAD STAYED ON FOR ANOTHER 5 HOURS. HAHA)
